Hearth & Home Technologies Inc., a subsidiary of HNI Corporation (NYSE:HNI) and the world’s largest fireplace manufacturer, announced today that it has acquired the assets of American Pre-Cast, Inc., a leading designer, manufacturer and installer of manufactured stone facing products such as mantels and fireplace surrounds. Founded in 1984 and located in Santa Ana, Calf., American Pre-Cast primarily serves builders in the Southern California market, and has a solid reputation for providing compelling pre-cast facing products that enhance the hearth experience.

“Continuously making the hearth selection and installation process easier for builders and homeowners is a key quality that sets us apart in the industry,” said Brad Determan, President, Hearth & Home Technologies. “This acquisition builds upon Hearth & Home Technologies’ success in the hearth market and positions the company to effectively provide a full facings offering from wood to natural stone to manufactured stone. By gaining pre-cast design and manufacturing expertise, we can further enhance our role as the hearth experts for builders and homeowners to meet their total hearth product and service needs.”

American Pre-Cast’s founder, Bob Morrisette, and general manager, Gary Zanella, as well as the company’s employees will join the Hearth & Home Technologies organization and continue to serve customers in Southern California under the American Pre-cast name in conjunction with the area’s three Fireside Hearth & Home™ locations.

Bob Morrisette said: "The relationship with Hearth & Home Technologies will enable us to more closely integrate our facing solutions with the fireplace to ensure we meet homeowner’s design expectations. In addition, by combining our knowledge and talent with the industry’s most comprehensive distribution network, we will be able to offer greater logistical efficiencies and simplify hearth product selection and installation.”

Hearth & Home Technologies is the world’s largest fireplace manufacturer and provider of hearth products for the home. Through the company’s Heat & Glo™, Heatilator® and Quadra-Fire® product brands, it offers a breadth of hearth solutions to fit the need in any home.
