Its only a matter of time before the luxury look finds its way into more affordable products. It happens with automobiles and fashion design. Gas fireplaces are no different. A new trend in gas fireplace styling is minimizing the amount of exposed black sheet metal on the face of the firebox. This new fireplace style has been embraced by custom homebuyers and is now in fireplaces for homes of all price points. As a leader in this new trend, Heatilator has redesigned its most popular fireplace product line, the Novus Series. Recently, the popular Novus Series earned a Consumers Digest Best Buy.

The unobstructed view of the fire instills an ambience that harkens back in time. The look allows the surrounding stone, tile or brick to come to the edge of the firebox, creating a hearth without black metal louvers and wide black metal framing. In addition, the viewing area of the firebox is framed by a full-coverage safety screen, reducing glass reflections while providing a line of protection from the warm surface of the glass.

Architecturally, the deep and wide firebox of the Novus Series adds a level of realism, with a more natural looking gas log configuration to increase flame height and expose the ember bed. Inside, the optional firebox refractory is available in a weathered traditional or herringbone brick pattern. For those who prefer to add a stylish front, the Demi and Tres fronts are available in operable or non-operable choices.

Builders quickly saw how homeowners accepted this new look in custom homes and almost immediately demanded we add it to our best-selling model, says Kathy Repp, Heatilator brand manager. It didnt take us long to respond.

The popular Novus platform allows it to be very flexible for builders; offered in four popular widths, 30, 33, 36 and 42 inches, it can be placed almost anywhere in the floor plan since venting can be initiated from the top or back of the fireplace.

Heatilator, the oldest and most preferred fireplace brand in the industry, has always stood for the comforting warmth and heat circulating technology offered by a manufactured fireplace. The brand name quickly became a household word the first name in fireplaces. Even today, many consumers refer to any heat-circulating fireplace as a Heatilator.

Available at Heatilator dealers and distributors, the Novus Series retails for as low as $1,100 with either a standing pilot or Intellifire ignition. For more information on the Novus Series, visit www.heatilator.com or call 800-927-6841.
