Heatilator continues to innovate with the Novus Series, which earned a Consumer Digest Best Buy in 2008. New for 2009 is the Novus nXt a value-priced traditional gas fireplace for homeowners who want to save money on heating costs.

Perfect for basement applications and retrofit situations, the Novus nXt was designed to fit tighter into a corner space than any of the competition in this category. For small rooms, this fireplace is an excellent choice. And since it can kick out 30,000 BTUs per hour, it is an excellence choice for homeowners who want to use a gas fireplace for supplemental heat.

The Novus nXt has intermittent pilot ignition, eliminating fuel costs associated with a standing pilot, which can cost up to $13 per month. It also features ceramic glass, which radiates heat more efficiently than traditional glass. The Novus nXt has a control feature that allows the homeowner to adjust flames to desired level and heat (50 percent turn down rate). In addition, the refractory and controls come standard and are included in the base price.

All Novus Series fireplaces have the same framing and venting requirements, said Kathy Repp, Heatilator brand manager. Therefore the fireplace can be framed early in the construction process, allowing the homeowner more time to decide on a style. Novus Series styles range from traditional to high efficiency to modern, so the choices are many.

The Novus Nxt is loaded with standard features and at a very competitive price point, putting it at the top of the list for value-priced fireplaces in the industry. Dollar for dollar, you get more for your money with the features and benefits of the Novus nXt than any competitive offerings in the same category.

The Novus features direct vent gas technology, maintaining indoor air quality by expelling 100 percent of the fireplaces combustion exhaust, moisture and odors outside the home. Its sealed combustion system keeps by-products, such as carbon monoxide, nitrous oxide and excess moisture from entering the home. Direct vent gas technology also helps builders earn green building points. It is the preferred technology in every green building program, including the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) Green Home Building Standards, U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) LEED for Homes and ENERGY STARs Indoor Air Package. It is also an American Lung Association Midwest Health House program Clean Air Choice.

The Novus nXt is on display at the International Builders Show in booth #C5643. For product images and additional information, visit www.fireplaces.com/profitsolutions.com, and click on Media Kits.
