Our History

  • Hearth & Home Technologies was founded on the belief that an organization that treated its customers, members, and investors fairly and respectfully would succeed if it followed sound business practices.

    In 1996, HNI Corporation acquired Heat-N-Glo Fireplace Products, Inc. in Minnesota. Heatilator and Heat-N-Glo merged to create what is now Hearth & Home Technologies as the Residential Building Products Division of HNI Corporation Company. In 2003, we added the concept of ‘Home’ to our name as we developed and marketed products supporting a healthy home environment.

  • Hearth & Home Technologies has continually acquired assets, expanding our brands and portfolio, making us the market leader in the hearth space. We design, manufacture and distribute various gas, electric, wood, and pellet fireplaces, inserts, stoves, and accessories.

    Today, thanks to our unique approach, commitment to innovation, and lean methodology, we hold the most patents, awards, and honors in the industry.

Strong & Stable: An HNI Division

Hearth & Home Technologies is the Residential Building Products division of HNI Corporation (NYSE: HNI), which was incorporated in 1944 and began operations in 1947. HNI is one of the United States’ 1,000 largest publicly held companies, according to Fortune magazine. HNI delivers long-term value to its shareholders and exceeds customer expectations, all while being a responsible corporate citizen.
